I just turned 17 and found out I'm 3 months pregnant. I live with my nan and 30 yr old uncle, and I share a room with my 19 yr old sister who has just found out she won't be moving out anytime soon because she didn't get into uni . I left school in year ten and have nothing to offer a baby. I don't even know who I am yet let alone how to raise a child. I have no financial stability and neither does the father who is 22, and still living with a 16 year olds brain. I don't know what to do. I think I want a termination but I feel like every one will look down on me, but I just don't know what to do. Please help me I don't have much time left.Editor's Comment:-
Your situation sounds quite lonely and isolated. You feel too young to be a Mum and have the baby, with no money and not a lot of support from the father.
It is not important what other people think. The main thing is to make a decision that is right for you. The negatives seem to be the practical side of coping with a baby. How do you feel about abortion? Does it make you feel guilty, or ashamed , or are you comfortable with it as an option. Think about how you would manage with a baby, and what support you would need. Maybe you have never thought about adoption, but for some people it is a very positive option. If you would like help to think through these options and get more information, ring the national helpline 0300 4000 999, or there may be an unplanned pregnancy advisor in your area we can give you the details of.
